Cristina Villa is a certified teacher of the American Yoga Alliance and a certified Californian massage therapist, as well as a professor of Cinema, Comparative Literature, and Creative Writing for the University of California and Minnesota in Florence. She studied in Los Angeles at Yoga Works, Bhakti Yoga Shala, and Exhale with such well known yoga teachers as Annie Carpenter, Govindas, and Shiva Rea and she also practiced at Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga. She is specialized in Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, and Bhakti Yoga and she is currently studying Prana Flow. She is certified in Ayurveda and she studied yoga, ayurveda, and meditation both in California and in India in Rishikesh, Mysore, and Puna. She also holds a Masters in “Yoga Studies, Body and Meditation in Asian Traditions” from the University Ca’ Foscari in Venice, Italy. She is finishing her specialization in Yoga, Body Image, and Eating Disorders with the Californian non –profit association Eat Breathe Thrive and her 300 hour Prana Vinyasa Teacher Training with Shiva Rea.
As a teacher, Cristina follows the Socratic method in order to help the students to develop their path independently. She strives to become a truly exemplary pedagogue using the maieutic method based on Socrates’ words, “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing”. Her motto is the old Latin proverb “By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn.” She supports her students in their path day by day and seeks to create a spiritual circle where love, respect, and knowledge circulate.
Eleonora Scotto is a certified Yoga Alliance Teacher (300 and 500 hours) and she studied at the Samadhi Yoga Center in Florence with a specialization in Anukalana Yoga. She also holds certificates in Pre-and-Post Natal Yoga, Yoga for Kids, and Yoga Trance Dance. She is teaching yoga dance as well, combining the beneficial effects of asanas, postures, with dance as personal expression. She has been traveling to and staying in such different countries as Thailand, Bali, China, India, United States, where she studied diverse spiritual and yoga traditions expanding her preparation and enriching her body, mind, and spirit. During her stay in the United States, she experienced different teaching methods and she taught to various groups of yoga students. Yoga, meditation, and traveling are essential experiences for her and they are deeply connected to her desire for knowledge, self-awareness and improvement.
